About the event

Chronic losses to our health are DEVASTATING, and can lead to all kinds of emotional loss - losses to our function and independence, losses in our relationships with others (and ourselves!), losses of finances, losses of our ability to work/enjoy recreation, losses of trust in our body, loss of faith and safety, loss of certainty about the future.... the list goes on and on. And on top of these, having a condition that is new, relatively unstudied, and undervalidated like Long Covid creates even more loss! And with every one of these losses, we experience grief. Our grief can feel like/be expressed as anger, sadness, fear, despair, loneliness, hopelessness, guilt, shame, anxiety.... basically, any uncomfortable human emotion can be a part of the grieving process.

100% of us are grieving every single day....we are just not taught this, nor are we taught how to honour and process this pain inโ€ฆ
